GREATER MARYLAND HEART WALK:

Saturday, October 21st from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Maryland State Fairgrounds.
Join us in supporting the American Heart Association achieve its goal of creating a world free of heart disease and stroke. Gray & Son, Inc.’s fundraising goal is $5,000. The Company will match 50% of funds raised by employees up to a total company contribution of $2,500.
100 wellness points - Walk 1 lap (approximately 1 mile) around the track at the Fairgrounds. Registration is required. Earn an additional 50 wellness points for fundraising. Fundraising is optional and is not required to participate in the walk. Earn 25 wellness points each for participating in other events at the walk such as chair yoga, dog jog, or cooking demonstrations.
How to register for the Greater Maryland Heart Walk:

1. Go to: heartwalk.org.
2. Type in zip code: 21093
3. Find 2023 Greater Maryland Heart Walk and click register. Click on join a team.
4. Answer yes/no questions about if you participated in this event before.
5. Click on Join a Team.
6. Type in Gray & Son, Inc. in the Team Name box. Then click on Join.
7. Choose your fundraising goal. Please note that you do not have to fundraise to participate in the walk.
8. Input your first and last name and answer questions. Create a username and password.
9. Then click on Complete Registration.

Festival of Trees

• Maryland State Fairgrounds
• Thanksgiving weekend, November 24-26, 2023!
• Hundreds of designer-decorated trees, wreaths and gingerbread houses will be on sale and displayed throughout the Cow Palace, which will be transformed into a winter wonderland. This three-day holiday celebration benefits the patients and students at Kennedy Krieger and kicks off the most wonderful time of the year for families throughout the region.
• If you would like to volunteer to help decorate the tree Gray & Son will be donating please contact Annie Stuart or Katie.

Cool Kids Campaign:

Tree of Hope –

• • From Thanksgiving through the week before Christmas we will have the tree of hope in the front lobby. The tree of hope supports children and their families during the Christmas season.

Adopt a family – volunteer to adopt a family during the holiday season. More information will be available closer to the holidays.

Wreaths across America:

Wreaths across America  remembers fallen soldiers and honors those who serve. Join us at Dulaney Valley Memorial Gardens where we will place wreaths on graves of those brave men and women who fought for our freedom.

Tender Bridge – Baltimore Banners Hockey

Be on the lookout for the 5^th annual Bridging the Gap ice hockey game.

Banners ice hockey “guides marginalized youth in high-violence areas of East Baltimore on the path to become productive citizens. While sports are the hook that keep our often difficult to engage kids involved, building trusted relationships with their coach-mentors produces profound growth on their journey to adulthood.” (mission statement from the Tender Bridge website).

Baltimore Hunger Project Packing Session

Gray & Son volunteers to pack food packages for children who may not have access to meals during the weekend. Their teachers/guidance counselors fill their backpacks with meals for the weekend so no child goes hungry while not in school. These are children attending Baltimore county and city schools.
